I'm flat out impressed by what the goals of this project are. They want to bring 1.6 level gameplay into the Source engine.

... without having access to either the 1.6 or CS:S code base. Apparently they've written/reverse engineered a lot of stuff from scratch. I, myself, never played much 1.6. But I'm eager to see what this CS:S contender plays like!
